Out with the old and in with the new – well at least that’s the case with Dancing with the Stars this week.  Just a day after Brooke Burke-Charvet was fired from ABC’s Dancing with the Stars, Erin Andrews was hired as her replacement. The Fox Sports reporter is set to take over as Dave Bergeron’s co-host for season 18 when the hit show returns to television.

In an interesting development, Burke-Charvet was fired from the show after 8 seasons as a co-host. Executive producer Conrad Green released this statement:

“We can confirm that Brooke Burke-Charvet will not be joining us next season. She’s been a wonderful part of the Dancing with the Stars family since her triumphant win in season seven and will unquestionably be missed by our entire team. We’d like to thank Brooke for her years of great service.”

What’s even more interesting is that Erin Andrews, who competed on the show in Season 10, ended up dating her dance partner Maxim Chmerkovskiy. They only dated for a brief time as as far as we know the relationship ended on reasonable terms, but we’re wondering if Andrews is going to be able to handle her new gig!
