Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams was seen in good spirits following the firing of head coach Josh McDaniels on Thursday. Players hung a mini-hoop inside the locker room and the WR swished a tiny basketball after "dunking" on sports media with a cheeky prediction.
Adams, 30, joked that talking heads on television will be up in arms over their basketball hoop, saying how they'll use the clip to blame for the team's losses.
"Get ready for this, I'm calling it right now," Adams said. "'This is why they're losing, they're worried about the wrong s--t. They're in the locker room playing basketball. F---ing run the right route, catch the ball.'"
"Catch that s--t, catch that s--t," Adams yelled after mocking the media and swishing the mini-basketball.
Davante Adams just wants to have fun
Following the firing of McDaniels, Adams wished him well, but admitted that the Raiders needed a huge change.
He also said the Las Vegas players are ready to have fun now, which was made more than evident by the locker room hoop.
"Obviously, I think it was time one way or the other, it was time for some sort of change," Adams said. "Just to bring a little juice in and revitalize the team a little bit. I think that's kind of the mindset we have. Just try to have fun and enjoy our time on the field. I think, as we speak to each other, there's been too much of this has just been feeling like work too much and not having enough fun. Just got to go back to that."
